Ephesians 6:13 (NKJV)
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Put on the full armor of God so you withstand the evil day, it doesn’t say evil days, you know that day when just about everything goes wrong. It’s that day where you feel you’re at the end of your rope.
In spiritual warfare there will be a time that is known as the evil day where just about everything goes wrong, we have all gone through that day. There are things you can do to keep it to just one day, so that the next day the clock resets.
Satan’s goal is to take that one day and to extend it from an evil day to an evil weeks, to evil months, to evil years, to an evil life, and ultimately make you into an evil person. Even when that evil day is over you still have that evil inside of you.
The strategy of the enemy is to use that evil day that comes to all of us, and have it become your life. It’s spiritual warfare.
But it only has to be one day. Spiritual warfare is always going to be there, the evil day is not, the next morning God resets His mercy and a new day begins and God shows His Grace and that evil day ended yesterday.
The armor of God don’t prevent the evil day from coming, it prevent you from becoming an evil person. God never gave us the armor to stop the devil from attacking us, He gave us the armor for the sole purpose not to cause us to be changed by the evil day that has come upon our lives.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
The mind is where the battle begins, praying always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit. Meaning at all times you should be praying in the spirit. Praying in the spirit is you helmet. When you are in constant prayer there is no room for the enemy to put any thoughts in your mind.
Write this down: Put on the helmet of salvation and take off the hat of condemnation!
God want you to cover your mind with the helmet of salvation, meaning live your life in the position, I am saved and I am a child of God. It puts everything you’re going though, your problems and situation in perspective.
This is spiritual warfare, and it’s important to remember your citizenship is in heaven and you are a soldier in God’s Army.
The enemy strategy on that evil day is to have you put on the hat a condemnation, were you start digging around to find what went wrong to cause this state that you are in, what door did you open that allowed the enemy to come in.
If you go looking for something that you can use to blame yourself you are going to find it. The enemy will bury you in condemnation so far that it will make your head spin.
On the evil day you have to stand, to withstand.
When the evil day is over, God wants you to be standing and if you’re still standing that’s the victory.
When the day is over make sure you are standing with both the feet planted, that’s the victory on the evil day.
God Bless, Israel
