4 Lies Christians believe about anger.
1. We know when our anger is justified.
No, we don’t. We are terrible at this, we always think we are right. But our hearts are deceitful among all things, we are the master at self-deception.
2. God gets angry, so we’re entitled to anger.
Sounds reasonable. It’s just isn’t biblical. We’re never, told to nurse our anger not even for a minute while calling to righteousness. If you are a believer, God works in and through us but we are not God he is sinless we’re not.
3. The Bible tells us to get angry about injustice.
It doesn’t. That shocks people, wait, so we’re just supposed to accept injustice? – As though that is the only other alternative.
4. Anger is a sign of spiritual maturity.
Problem: anger is never, listed as “good” in the Bible. It is not a fruit of the spirit, along with love, joy, and peace. It’s always listed in a negative along with bitterness. You notice no one ever speaks about “righteous bitterness” it doesn’t exist.
How do you Overcome Anger?
1. You must Identify anger
2. Be willing to confess it
3. Deal with it quickly
4. Take an emotional break, remove yourself from the situation.

ANGER: doesn’t solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything.
