The Tactic of Isolation

Isolation is one of the most damaging strategies employed by the enemy. Have you ever had a moment when you were isolated, even if for good reason and the devil tried to use it to manipulate you? Has isolation ever caused you to believe or fall victim  to the lies of the enemy causing unnecessary or undue stress, worry, or anxiety? Have you ever found yourself  isolated or being pulled away from godly relationships. This is a trap by the enemy to get you isolated and alone so that you are weak and vulnerable, the enemy knows that we are stronger together.

 Matthew 18:20 (NKJV)

20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

We are not designed to go through the Christian life or life in general alone we need each other to survive and to succeed. We need each other as believers in Christ for encouragement, if the enemy can isolate us he can gain more of a foothold over us. The way to guard against this attack is to stay vigilant about maintaining a strong godly community and praying for the Lord to surround you with people who are strong in faith and people who have integrity.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NKJV)

Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.

This underscores the significance of community, stating that it is not good for man to be alone and that two are better than one. The takeaway is that isolation can make us susceptible to the devil’s lies and stress. Applying this, actively seek and participate in a community of believers. Share your struggles, support one another, and build a network that strengthens your faith. Together, believers can help lift each other up in times of spiritual attack.

1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

The key is spiritual alertness, engage in regular prayer and meditation on God’s Word. Through prayer, you can seek God’s guidance and protection, while meditation helps build spiritual strength and discernment. By staying connected to God through these practices, you can find strength and clarity, countering the enemy’s attempts to create stress and spread lies.

James 4:7 (NKJV)

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

The bible instructs believers to submit to God and resist the devil, promising that he will flee. Submission to God and resisting negative thoughts go hand in hand. Applying this, consciously resist feelings of isolation and negative thoughts. Replace them with affirmations based on biblical truths. Remind yourself of God’s promises and the power of His Word. Trust in His strength to overcome the lies of the devil and find peace in the midst of challenges.

God Bless, Israel
