Can you Hear Me Now (part 2)

7 reasons why God won’t answer your prayers.

So, the question is why isn’t God answering your prayers how come your prayers aren’t being answer.

1. Sinful Behavior

Isaiah 59:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

Iniquities - gross injustice, wickedness, a wicked act or sin.

What’s the difference between Sin and Iniquities. Sins you missed the mark, you made a mistake, you did what you should have done. Your iniquities are wickedness, not only did you sin but you plan to sin you intentional sin, you orchestrated sin you wanted it, so you made it happen.

When you make excuses for sin, when you make it a course of life, when you make sin acceptable, when you practice sin, when you subscribe to sin, that’s iniquity.

It makes it difficult for God to answer your prayers. God can’t answer a payer if sin and iniquity are present. It’s hard for God to answer your prayer when you purposely are sinning.

2. Sinful Thoughts

Psalm 66:18 New King James Version (NKJV)

If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.

If you regard it in your heart, God won't hear you. Listen, if you think about it (sin), it’s a problem with your walk with the Lord.

If you consider or think of someone or something in a specific way, If you can imagine it or picture it in your mind, if you regarded in your heart, in your thoughts and you can feelings, in your heart, and if you can remind yourself how much you like it, it’s sin.

People go around thinking that it’s okay as long as you didn’t do it. If you regard iniquities and your heart, those are sinful thoughts.

How many times have you seen a man looking at this woman with lustful thoughts and say I could look but as long as I don’t touch it’s okay, it’s not okay it’s sinful thoughts.

God wants to answer your prayers. What God wants from us is to take control of our thought life. He wants us to take control of how we think. Not just what you do but what you think how you manage your thoughts how you control what’s going on in your head, thought come in your mind but you don’t have to let those thought land.

2 Corinthians 10:5 New King James Version (NKJV)

Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

  • When you sow a thought, you reap a feeling

  • When you sow a feeling, you reap an act

  • When you sow an act, you reap a habit

  • When you reap the habit a you sow a lifestyle

  • When you sow a lifestyle, you reap a destiny

When you contemplate one last time, one last connection, one less opportunity, one last role in the hay, one last hit, one last time getting drunk. You reap what you sow, God will never answer your prayers.

You have a choice you can submit to your feelings or walk away. If you keep on sinning, if you can continue to commit inequities you better reevaluate yourself and see if you are a truly a child of God.

3. You asked for the wrong reasons

James 4:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Amiss means; not quite right; inappropriate or out of place.

You asking for something that’s not good for you that’s not beneficial to you. So, God can’t answer you. It’s all about you, it’s not about the kingdom, is not about inventing in God's kingdom it’s about you and that’s why God can’t answer you. When we make it our agenda to promote God’s agenda, His program, then the God we serve will advance your cause when your cause lines up with Him.

Stay tune for part 3 (The finale)

God Bless, Israel
