Is Correction a Bad Thing? What is correction?

The word correction means: 1. The act of correcting; the act of bringing back, from error or deviation, to a just standard, as to truth, rectitude, justice or propriety; as the correction of opinions or manners.

In this Life nothing is perfect and most things, needs to be corrected, but when we hear the word correction! we always think that we are at guilt, and we look at correction like some kind of punishment! so this way of thinking make it difficult for us to gain more knowledge and find the right path! Proverbs 12:1 said, Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.

Correction is the key of knowledge ,without correction there is no wisdom ,Proverbs 19:20

Listen to advice and accept correction, and in the end you will be wise.

Just like an optometrist prescribes glasses to correct our vision, God also correct us, so we can fulfill His plan on Earth. There is only one way! God's way! and our opinion in things are irrelevant, when they violate God's principles! He has already set a path before us, there is nothing to add or take! and like a good Father he corrects what is wrong, for our own good and welfare .Proverbs 19:27 Don't stop listening to correction, my child, or you will forget what you have already learned.

Correction is appreciated by the wise, like a saying that my parents used to said (no one is born knowing) there is also another saying that said (knowledge is power) and only comes by correcting what you think is right. Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

In conclusion, if you can't take correction ,the word describe whoever cant take correction as(just read it yourself! )Proverbs 12:1 said, Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.

God Bless You! Remember, stay wise!
