Lately, The Holy Spirit is been dealing with Me,And this words told by my Pastor, have cause a lot of thinking,he probably have no idea, on the effect that those words causes
in my person. This story is kind of a lesson received and learned. Two weeks ago dealing with a situation I talked to my pastor and he expressed this words to me "Julio, some time you have to lose a bit to win a lot" at the beginning there was some resistance! but then ,here comes the Holy Spirit and remind me ,the greatest victory of all times!
When Jesus went to the Cross everything was looking bad to the natural eyes, even the disciples could not understand, what was happening, the enemy though, Jesus was defeated, at the eyes of the people looks like that was it! but there was a bigger purpose,
Ephesians 4:9-10 King James Version
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
Sometimes we see struggle as a bad things.Situations knock at our doors with a purpose, but we are so wrap up, in what we want ,that we miss what the Lord wants to teach us.
Three weeks ago, I was praying for the lost souls in the street, and I ask God to have mercy on them, and to help us understand, and to see with His eyes , after that prayer, a truck came down the street and broke up ,the driver was high as a kite,he was homeless I didn't knew it ,until one night I saw him sleeping in the truck, every day he was high and bringing other people to the truck, to shoot up drugs ,I was upset! and I could not see the purpose in this situation, some neighbors approach me to complaint, which make me more upset! I finally decide to approach this man and ask him.when are you planing to fix your car and move on? He express to me, I have the parts, but nobody to help me.. at that moment the words of my Pastor, came in to mi mind! sometimes you need to loose a bit to win! I told the man, I am going to do it for him, and you don't have to pay me!he look at me like you are crazy! I express him, that Jesus cares about you, and he brought you here ,to let you know. So don't thank me, and give thanks to Him! I was able to preach to him, the man was touch and he assure me, that he was going to leave that same night, which he did.
Even though situations look bad at the moment, some times they have a bigger purpose! but! are we willing to lose, pride, time, money, position, and things, in order to win.
I have learned a good lesson, and I will keep praying for him!
God Bless you!
