Pray through the Attacks

We all go through dry spells where we just don't feel like praying, when we feel dry and powerless. Nevertheless we should never let it get to the point where we actually stop praying, this is because the flesh and the spirit are at war and the enemy does not want you to reach out to the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the type of season where you should fight even harder, by fasting and praying. The times when you feel most disconnected that is the time to go harder. The enemy attacks through despair, depression, and discouragement this is the quiet attack the one that does not announce itself.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NKJV)
8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—
We may face battles and attacks in this world but we can trust in our mighty God to be our shelter through it all. So, in those seasons when you feel overwhelmingly discouraged, when you feel without any strength to keep going on, this is the time you must call out to Jesus, this is the time you must seek strength from the Lord Jesus Christ, this is the time you must cling to the power of the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NKJV)
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
This is one of those passages that really puts things into perspective although we live in this world we do not and we should not fight our battles like the world, the weapons available to us are not physical weapons they have divine power they are weapons unlike anything in this world because they are heavenly weapons.
Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV)
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The word of God is one of the weapons we have as children of God it is a weapon you can use against the enemy. So what does it mean when the Bible says for though we walk in the flesh we do not war according to the flesh, as a believer you are not fighting people you are not just fighting circumstances you are fighting the spirit behind the situation. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age.
Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
So, Pray for victory in all areas of your life declare God's promises over your life believe that there is power in the name of Jesus Christ there is power in God's word and when we pray we can be confident that the Lord Jesus Christ is always near to those who seek and call on Him. Believe that God will break every plan of the enemy, trust that the Lord Jesus Christ, He will have the final say in all matters concerning you.
Spiritual warfare is not something to be feared because the battle belongs to the Lord this war is not one we fight on our own, we need to allow God to fight for us because it is only when we do this we will be able to stand victorious.
There are four things the enemy sets out to achieve when he attacks believers
1. To discourage you from your faith.
2. To distract you from your calling.
3. To stir discontent in your life and to bring division between you and other believers.
4. To stop the unity of the gospel and the church.
Here’s how you gain victory, the Bible tells us that Jesus often withdrew to quiet places and prayed, if even Jesus needed to withdraw to be alone with God how much more do His children need to do the same, there is a powerful weapon for spiritual warfare and that is prayer. Prayer is you giving your battles to God you are calling on Him to engage in the battle for you so trust God trust in the word of the Lord, trust in His promises and you will have the victory.
God Bless, Israel
