The Heavenly Realm

There exists a world beyond what our natural eyes can see, and within this realm rages a war. The Apostle Paul describes this conflict not as a battle against other people, but as a struggle against "principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil". Here are the top five types of demonic spirits that may be ruling your life and most Christians never get to discern them.

Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

“We Wrestle Not Against Flesh and Blood”

This phrase emphasizes the fact that behind every seemingly human agenda is a spiritual force. This doesn’t mean that people aren’t responsible for their own rebellious ways, nor does it mean that the enemy can’t use human individuals as enemies of the gospel. This just means that we should remain aware of the fact that ultimately the devil is working from the shadows to bring about destruction.

Notice; Paul never identify satan as one of the spirits, it says principalities, powers, rulers, and spiritual host. This means that hell operates with a structure. Lucifer copied God’s system of organizing His hierarchy of angels in heaven and His structure of ranking. Satan copied that same structure in hell.

“Principalities” Refers to high-ranking spiritual beings  that oversee specific territories, nations, or geographic realms. They hold foundational authority in the unseen hierarchy.

“Powers” Refers to the supernatural strength or operational forces deployed by those rulers to execute influence, deceive, or wreak havoc upon individuals. The term “powers” also carries somewhat of a dual meaning. “Powers” doesn’t just refer to demons themselves but also the systems of which they are a part of. The term “powers” can mean both the demonic entities and the structures of Hell.

“Rulers of Darkness in This World” This refers to supernatural forces and spiritual beings that oppose God and influence the world, it symbolizes satan, demons, and the unseen spiritual wickedness influencing the human systems and promoting ignorance, sin, and corruption.

“Spiritual Wickedness in High Places” They are spiritual beings with great powers and great wickedness! They also refer to the high-ranking demons and the high-ranking individuals they influence. This also makes reference to fallen angels, which are different than demonic beings.

It means that hell operates with structure, satan has a ranking system in order of operation, and many people are fighting this symptom without discerning the spirits that are influencing the system behind it.

Hells Ranking System of Operation

1.    Fallen Angels:

Revelation 12:7-9 (NKJV)

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Fallen angels are rebellious spirit beings that follow lucifer in rebellion against God. Their assignments are influencing, corruption, false revelation, perverting truth. A fallen Angel does not always arrive looking evil. Sometimes it looks enlightened, ancient, mystical, empowering.

How do they enter?

Simple; They enter through pride, forbidding spiritual practices, rebellion against God, obsession with hidden knowledge apart from Christ.

How does it work, or how do you know if you are operating in this spirit?

You become drawn to power without Holiness, revelation without repentance, spiritual without Jesus. Any spirit that makes you crave power more than purity is not from God.

2.    Demons:

Luke 11:24 (NKJV)

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’

They seek embodiment, expression, and function through a human vessels, demons attach themselves to appetite, trauma, agreement, and open doors. They magnified bondage already present in the flesh. A demon of lust amplifies lust; A demon of rage amplifies anger. A demon of addiction amplifies captivity.

This is how they enter through persistent sin, trauma, bitterness, occult involvement, generational iniquity, willing agreement with darkness.

How do you know if one is operating on you?

Cycles you cannot break, compulsion you secretly hate, voices condemning, Self-bondages that intensify when you try to pray. A demon's greatest weapon is making you think your bondage is just your personality.

3.    Unclean spirits:

Mark 1:23-24 (NKJV)

23 Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

And unclean spirit specialized in contamination, its encourages impurity, it defiles, and pollutes the soul. These spirits corrupt thoughts, desires, speech, sexual appetite, and spiritual sensitivity. An unclean spirit wants you unable to distinguish holy from unholy.

This is how they enter; pornography, sexual impurity, perverse entertainment, defiling conversations, unholy soul ties.

How do you know if you are operating in them?

You normalize what once convicted you, purity feels uncomfortable darkness feels familiar. You are consistently feeling spiritually polluted in certain environments or around certain people. Unclean spirits do not always make you violent, sometimes they simply make you comfortable with contamination.

4.    Principalities:

Daniel 10: 12-14 (NKJV)

12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

This was not a human Prince; this was a territorial spirit of resistance. Principalities govern regions, cultures, systems, cities, and patterns over territories. Some cities are ruled by violence, some by lust, some by religion, some by witchcraft, some by poverty. Principalities influence atmospheres.

This is how they operate; they operate through systems of Cultural normalization, governmental influence, mass deception, collective strongholds.

How do you know if you are experiencing one in your region or your entire bloodlines. Repeating  the same destruction, cities trapped in cycles of murder and death, families under consistent warfare, and churches spiritually asleep for generations. A principality does not attack people; it tries to control entire territories.

5.     The rulers of darkness:

Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

For we wrestle against the rulers of darkness, which are in deep, deep, deep places, rulers of darkness govern ignorance, there assignment is to blind us, not physical blindness but spiritual blindness.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (NKJV)

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Their goal is to keep people unable to see, unable to discern, unable to recognize truth, unable to identify deception. This spirit loves confusion it wants people to call evil good and good evil.

How does it enter? Persistent rejection of truth, hatred of conviction, love of darkness over life.

How can you know they may be operating on the inside of you? Simple: You resist correction, truth irritates you, darkness feels safer than exposure, you become spiritually numb. The greatest evidence of darkness is not demon screaming it’s people no longer recognizing light and hearing God clearly. Jesus never told us to fear demons.

Luke 10:19 (NKJV)

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and overall the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The answer to the power of the enemy is discernment, repentance, holiness, deliverance, submission to Christ, because what you expose you can be expel, and what you discern you can stop agreeing with.

These are the demonic spirits that may be operating in your life and you may not even know it.

God Bless, Israel
